North Korea Set To Conduct Nuclear Test
Sorry for not posting in a while. School's started, so updating regularly is a pain in the ass right now. So anyways, this morning I picked up the New York Sun (Best newspaper in NYC. A little bit too right-wing for me, but much cheaper and smaller than the NY Times. And isn't it nice to get a Conservative point of view in the liberal capital of NYC?). As I started to read the foreign news section, the first thing I saw was a big article on North Korea testing a nuclear weapon.

South Korean officials said there was no sign a test was imminent and warned that such a test could prompt Japan to developing atomic weapons and threaten a regional arms race.

This is bad. But as you get towards the end of the article you'll start to read about what China might just do. China really wants to do more buisness with North Korea, but Kim Jong-il and thw KWP won't let them. It would let outside information get into the hermit kingdom and that's what the North Korean government is afraid of. China sees North Korea as a jewel. But some old guy with a stick won't let them have it. China can't hit that old man because that would be bad and the old guy has a stick. A stick won't kill you but it would hurt. And China doesn't want to feel pain. Not when they're doing so well economically.
